BrAVOfESTIVAL LIVE 2026
I. COMPETITION
– Any artist who wishes to do so and who meets the age requirements may register for the festival.
– The maximum number of participants for this edition will be 40 artists from all categories. The organization will be in charge of selecting the representatives and the exact number for each category and notifying those selected.
– Los participantes deberán interpretar 2 canciones, una por gala. Estas serán elegidas libremente por cada artista, estando permitido la interpretación de canciones propias del artista. Podrá ser en cualquier idioma que el artista considere oportuno.
- As there may be a large number of artists, it is possible that the same songs may be chosen at the same time, so the organisers will try to avoid this happening within the same category. To this end, three songs will be requested from each artist, in order of preference. There will be continuous and direct communication with the artists or family members so that this issue is always in agreement for both parties. After 10 June it will not be possible to change order or songs.
- The categories of the festival will be as follows:
. Categoría “Bravo Kids”: De 7 a 11 años
. Categoría “Bravo Young”: De 12 a 16 años
. Categoría “Bravo Stars”: De 17 a 25 años.
Duets or groups will participate in the category that corresponds to their age. If any artist of the duo or group is of a different category, his/her participation will be counted in the category of the oldest artist.
- The age according to the category will be counted from the first day of the Festival (2July 2026).
(Age groups may be subject to change by the organisers, subject to prior notice to all participants and provided it is for the benefit of the Festival and its artists).
- Recorded backing vocals that do not duplicate the main melody may be used. They will be given by the artist to the organisation at the time the song is submitted.
- The duration of the song shall be up to a maximum of 4 minutes.
- If the artist wishes to have a corps de ballet in his/her performance, he/she must inform the organisers. They will be brought by the participants.
- If any instruments are needed, the participants must bring them.
It will be perfectly permitted to come days before that date. The date and time of arrival in León must always be communicated to the organisation.
On Thursday morning, a cultural visit to León Cathedral will take place, with admission included for participants. This activity is optional and requires prior registration. It may be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
During the evening of the 2nd of July, from 19h onwards, the artists' presentation (red carpet) will take place, where press and public are expected to be present to enjoy the event.
We ask artists who wish to do so, to come with a flag of their country/city/region and make it more emotional and fun.
Each artist will be free to dress in the way they prefer. We don't want to force anyone to dress up if they don't want to. We want the artists to enjoy this moment as they feel most comfortable.
- On Friday and Saturday mornings, the different soundchecks with the artists will take place.
The organisation will set the schedule and inform the artists of the day and approximate time of their sound check.
This rehearsal will last approximately one minute per song and will be held behind closed doors. Only the artist’s accompanying persons will be allowed to enter the room.
- On Friday and Saturday afternoon, the competition galas will take place, following the order of the sound checks.
– After the conclusion of each gala, the designated jury will cast their votes. On Friday, the voting will be carried out by the organization, and on Saturday, by the professional jury.
The votes from Friday will be kept confidential and will not be revealed until the end of the galas on Saturday.
- On Saturday after the end of the festival and obviously after all the participants have had dinner, the organisation will organise a farewell party where all the artists can dance and have fun together. The exact place will be announced and obviously it will be voluntary for those who wish to attend.
II. SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS
– El plazo de inscripción al festival será del 2 de enero al 8 de marzo. Cualquier inscripción fuera de ese plazo será nula.
- Registrations will be made through a registration form that will be available on our website from 2 January.
- All artists accepted for participation in the festival will be notified through the different contacts provided in the registration form.
– Cualquier artista que no haya recibido la confirmación de participar antes del 15 de abril, significará que en ésta edición no ha sido seleccionado.
- The registration deadline will be April 5. However, this date may be modified if the maximum number of artists accepted for the festival has already been reached, or if the organization considers it appropriate to extend the deadline to allow more artists to register.
- The artist accepted to participate in the festival will have one week to pay the registration fee.
Once payment has been made, you will be officially registered (the date may be negotiated between the organiser and the artist, but always within the registration period).
III. PARTICIPATION FEE
– 150€ artista individual
– 250€ duos
– 300€ grupos
Once you have received notification that your application has been approved, the organization will contact you to provide instructions on the next steps.
The registration fee will be paid via bank transfer, unless, in exceptional cases for participants from outside the European Union, an alternative method is decided. In any case, any bank fees incurred must be borne by the participant.
The fee includes full participation in the festival, the judges' work, technical maintenance of the competition (stage, sound, lighting) and the organisation part.
If you do not attend the competition, the amount transferred will not be refunded.
Travel, hotel and various meals are at the expense of each participant.
IV. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF PARTICIPANTS
- The deadline for arrival at the festival is Thursday 2nd of July in the morning.
Artists may come on the days they wish in advance, as long as the organisation is notified in order to be able to save and secure their stay.
– From the organization, and especially for international artists, we recommend traveling to Madrid Airport and from there going to the train station (Atocha). This journey can be easily done by train, with an approximate cost of €4 and a duration of around 20 minutes. Trains run every few minutes.
Once at the train station, you just need to take the train from Madrid to León. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, and the cost ranges between €30 and €70 depending on the time of travel.
The organisation will help the artist and accompanying persons with all the information they need.
V. AWARDS
- All participants will receive a medal for their participation and a welcome kit for the event.
- The three best classified artists in the different categories will receive trophies.
– Trophy / Grand Prix Winner: The artist with the highest score across both days, taking into account all judges, will receive a cash prize of €1,000. In the event of a tie, the prize will be shared among the participants who received the same score.
La decisión del jurado es definitiva e indiscutible. Los miembros del jurado evaluarán de igual manera a absolutamente todos los artistas participantes y se basará en los siguientes criterios:
- 1. Tuning / Intonation
- 2. **Breathing**
- 3. **Musicality and Rhythmic Accuracy**
- 4. **Interpretation and Stage Presence**
- 5. **Originality / Difficulty**
The jury members for Saturday’s gala will be announced in the days leading up to the festival.
The awards ceremony will take place after the last participant's performance and after a period of time in which the jury will take the opportunity to prepare their different votes.
