Georgia conquers Junior Eurovision 2024: innovation, surprises and a stage for history.<\/strong><\/p>

Georgia ha vuelto a brillar en el panorama de Eurovisi\u00f3n Junior, llev\u00e1ndose el trofeo en la edici\u00f3n 2024 celebrada en Madrid, Espa\u00f1a. Esta victoria, lograda con la emocionante balada “To my mum<\/em>” interpretada magistralmente por Andria Putkaradze, es solo uno de los elementos que hicieron de esta edici\u00f3n un evento inolvidable, marcado por tecnolog\u00eda innovadora y grandes sorpresas.<\/p>

Spain hosts after 55 years of waiting.<\/strong><\/p>

Madrid's Caja M\u00e1gica was the imposing venue for Junior Eurovision 2024, making it the first Eurovision event to be held in Spain in 55 years, since the country hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969.<\/p>

Spain took over the organisation after finishing second in Nice 2023, where France achieved a historic victory but decided not to organise the competition. Madrid not only took over, but delivered a show that lived up to expectations, with a venue that exceeded even the capacity of some of the venues used in the senior format.<\/p>

Innovation in postcards and a revolutionary scenario.<\/strong><\/p>

Among the highlights of this year's edition was the use of artificial intelligence for the postcards. These short videos, which presented the artists and their countries, combined Spanish landscapes with AI-generated effects, creating a unique visual experience that fascinated the audience.<\/p>

The stage design included a gigantic vertical screen, an element never seen before in the Eurovision universe. This innovation allowed new ways of storytelling to be explored through visual effects and projections, leaving spectators and delegations in awe.<\/p>

Surprises in the results and a controversial vote<\/strong>
This edition will be remembered for its unexpected results. Georgia, an underdog, won first place thanks to an impeccable vocal performance that thrilled and captivated the juries on a massive scale.\u00a0<\/p>

On the other hand, the new voting system introduced this year did not convince many. Although it sought to add dynamism and excitement, it proved confusing and difficult to follow, generating criticism from both those in the arena and spectators at home.<\/p>

Chloe DelaRosa, a hostess who conquered hearts<\/strong>
The show was hosted by the charismatic Chloe DelaRosa, who represented France at Junior Eurovision 2019. Chloe was full of energy and charm throughout the night, and her musical performance - a fun song with a dazzling staging - was one of the most celebrated moments of the gala. For the Spanish fans, that sixth place was not enough.<\/p>

With its victory, Georgia adds another trophy to its impressive Junior Eurovision record and is already preparing to host the 2025 edition. Expectations are high, but Georgia looks set to rise to the challenge.<\/p>

Junior Eurovision 2024 not only celebrated young talent, but marked Spain's return to the centre of Eurovision action after more than half a century.
