BrAVOfESTIVAL LIVE 2025

I. COMPETITION

– Any artist who wishes to do so and who meets the age requirements may register for the festival. 

– The maximum number of participants for this edition will be 85 artists from all categories. The organization will be in charge of selecting the representatives and the exact number for each category and notifying those selected. 

– Los participantes  deberán interpretar 1 canción, que será elegida libremente por cada artista, estando permitido la interpretación de una canción propia del artista. Podrá ser en cualquier idioma que el artista considere oportuno.

- As there may be a large number of artists, it is possible that the same songs may be chosen at the same time, so the organisers will try to avoid this happening within the same category. To this end, three songs will be requested from each artist, in order of preference. There will be continuous and direct communication with the artists or family members so that this issue is always in agreement for both parties. After 9 February it will not be possible to change order or songs. 

- The categories of the festival will be as follows:

. A Category: From 7 to 10 years old

. B Category: From 11 to 15 years old

. Junior Category: From 16 to 21 years old

. Senior Category: From 22 to 30 years old

. Veterans Category: From 31 years old onwards

Duets or groups will participate in the category that corresponds to their age. If any artist of the duo or group is of a different category, his/her participation will be counted in the category of the oldest artist. 

- The age according to the category will be counted from the first day of the Festival (16 July 2025). 

(Age groups may be subject to change by the organisers, subject to prior notice to all participants and provided it is for the benefit of the Festival and its artists). 

- Recorded backing vocals that do not duplicate the main melody may be used. They will be given by the artist to the organisation at the time the song is submitted. 

- The duration of the song shall be up to a maximum of 4 minutes. 

- If the artist wishes to have a corps de ballet in his/her performance, he/she must inform the organisers. 

- If the artist needs an instrument for his/her performance and needs the organisation to provide it, this must be communicated with the registration. 

- Wednesday 16 July will be the arrival day for the artists, and on that day in the afternoon a singing master class will be given by a professional. 

It will be perfectly permitted to come days before that date. The date and time of arrival in Figueres must always be communicated to the organisation. 

- On Thursday morning, July 17th, there will be an excursion to the Dali museum for all those interested and for those who prefer, they will have free time to rest, visit the city, go to the nearby beaches... 

During the evening, from 19h onwards, the artists' presentation (red carpet) will take place, where press and public are expected to be present to enjoy the event. 

We ask artists who wish to do so, to come with a flag of their country/city and make it more emotional and fun. 

Each artist will be free to dress in the way they prefer. We don't want to force anyone to dress up if they don't want to. We want the artists to enjoy this moment as they feel most comfortable. 

- On Friday and Saturday mornings, the different soundchecks with the artists will take place. 

La organización pondrá un orden, avisando a los artistas del día y hora aproximada de su prueba de sonido. 

Está prueba tendrá una duración aproximada de entre uno y dos  minutos. 

- On Friday and Saturday afternoon, the competition galas will take place, following the order of the sound checks. 

– La organización pondrá a disposición de los artistas peluqueria y maquillaje de forma gratuita. 

– Tras la finalización del festival del sábado, el jurado tomará las decisiones para comenzar con la entrega de premios. 

- On Saturday after the end of the festival and obviously after all the participants have had dinner, the organisation will organise a farewell party where all the artists can dance and have fun together. The exact place will be announced and obviously it will be voluntary for those who wish to attend.

II. SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS

- The registration period for the festival will be from 9 December to 9 February. Any registration outside this period will be void.

- Registrations will be made through a registration form that will be available on our website from 9 December.

- All artists accepted for participation in the festival will be notified through the different contacts provided in the registration form.

- Any artist who has not received confirmation of participation by 14 February means that he/she has not been selected for this edition.

- The artist accepted to participate in the festival will have one week to pay the registration fee.
Once payment has been made, you will be officially registered (the date may be negotiated between the organiser and the artist, but always within the registration period).

III. PARTICIPATION FEE

– 100€ individual artist 

– 150€ duos

– 200€ groups

Once you have received notification that your application has been approved, the organisation will contact you to arrange the method of payment in the way that suits you best. 

It can be through a bank transfer, direct payment link, payment applications... 

The fee includes full participation in the festival, the judges' work, technical maintenance of the competition (stage, sound, lighting) and the organisation part. 

If you do not attend the competition, the amount transferred will not be refunded.

Travel, hotel and various meals are at the expense of each participant.

Participants who do not come from Catalonia must confirm their stay through the organisation.

IV. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF PARTICIPANTS

 – La fecha límite de llegada al festival será el miércoles 16 de julio  en horario de mañana. 

Artists may come on the days they wish in advance, as long as the organisation is notified in order to be able to save and secure their stay. 

- From the organisation, and for international artists, we recommend travelling to Barcelona airport (Barcelona-El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport) and from there to the train station (Barcelona - Sants). This is an easy train journey costing €4.60 and takes approximately 20 minutes. Trains depart every half hour. 

Once at the train station, all you have to do is take the train from Barcelona to Figueres. The journey takes 55 minutes and except for different offers, the price of the trip is 22,40€. 

The organisation will help the artist and accompanying persons with all the information they need. 

V. AWARDS

- All participants will receive a diploma of participation and a welcome kit for the event.

- The three best classified artists in the different categories will receive trophies. 

- There will be a special trophy for the best artist decided by the competition organisers (it cannot be one of the artists who have already won prizes). 

- A special trophy will be awarded by the local authorities to the best national artist (cannot be among the artists already awarded). 

- The winning artist in category ‘B’ will receive a special prize of 1000€.

- The winning artist in the Junior category will receive a special prize of 1000€.

- For categories A, B and Veterans there will be a special prize which will be donated by sponsors and we will provide information as soon as we are informed. 

The jury is made up of professional singers and a member of the organisation. Professional singers may also be invited to join the jury if they wish to do so. 

Their decision is final and indisputable. The members of the jury will evaluate all participating artists equally. 

The awards ceremony will take place after the last participant's performance and after a period of time in which the jury will take the opportunity to prepare their different votes. 

VI. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

– Los organizadores  y el equipo del festival, tienen derecho a tomar fotografías y vídeos durante el concurso, así como de distribuir cualquier material de audio, vídeo y fotografía que se realice durante los días de festival. 

- By submitting an application, participants undertake to comply with the above rules.

- Contest participants and accompanying persons pay their own travel and living expenses. 

- The contestants themselves are responsible for respecting the copyrights of the songs they enter. 

- Any questions or problems should be resolved with the competition organisers.

- The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the competition rules, always with the aim of improving the festival. 

- Any changes made by the organisation will be announced on our Instagram account @bravo_festival, website or by email.
